What are the main components of a logistics sorting line system? The role of the control unit is to identify, receive and process the sorting signals and to instruct the sorting device to automatically sort the goods according to the requirements of the sorting signals, according to the variety of goods, according to the place where the goods are delivered or according to the category of the owner. These sorting requirements can be input to the sorting control system in different ways, such as bar code scanning, color code scanning, keyboard input, weight detection, voice recognition, height detection and shape recognition, etc. Based on the judgment of these sorting signals, a decision is made as to which sorting lane an item should enter.
The function of the sorting device is to act according to the sorting indication from the control device, and when goods with the same sorting signal pass by the device, the device acts so that the direction of operation on the conveyor is changed into other conveyors or into the sorting lane entrance. There are many types of sorting devices, generally push-out, float-out, tilt-out and branch-out. Different devices have different requirements for sorting goods such as packaging material, packaging weight and smoothness of the bottom surface of the packaging.
The main component of the conveyor is the conveyor belt or conveyor, whose main role is to make the goods to be sorted through the control device, classification device, and both sides of the conveyor device, generally connected to a number of sorting road mouth, so that the sorted goods slide down the main conveyor (or the main conveyor belt) for subsequent operations.
The sorting pass is the passage where the sorted goods leave the main conveyor (or main belt) and enter the collection area. It is generally composed of steel belts, belts, rollers, etc., so that the goods slide from the main conveyor to the collection platform, where the staff will concentrate all the goods at the pass and either store them in the warehouse or assemble and load them on the trucks and carry out distribution operations.
